A new annotated history of the American Revolution in the upper Mohawk Valley of New York is now available from Fort Plank Historian Ken D. Johnson and Picton Press. Using the "BEST EVIDENCE" available, the actual words of Fort Plank's Defenders and other Mohawk Valley Partisans, a fascinating account of this epic struggle is produced. Never before published accounts of battles, raids, troop movements, supply activities, and individual hardships are herein provided for your examination and perusal. Every statement of fact is documented as to its EXACT so that the casual reader as well as the professional researcher can easily consult the original source documents.

Included within the pages of THE BLOODIED MOHAWK are the journal of Captain Daniel Lane of the Seventh Massachusetts Regiment kept while at Cherry Valley from 1778 & 1779; the Memorandum Book of Colonel Frederick Fisher, Commandant of the Tryon County Militia from 1778 & 1779; the Orderly Book of Captain Jonathon Titus of the Fourth New York Regiment kept while at Fort Plank in 1779; and, Lieutenant Colonel Marinus Willett's Travel Itinerary for the Military Season of 1781.

Through the use of Quit Rent Remission Certificates, Pension Applications, Land Deeds and Mortgages, contemporary letters, Revolutionary War Muster Rolls, Orderly Books, personal; journals, church records, etc. the "Story of the American Revolution in the Middle and Upper Mohawk Valley" comes to life. In the second portion of this tome an accounting of all known American (and British Partisans) of the Mohawk Valley is presented through the primary sources mentioned eforehand.
